Fira de Santa Llúcia
Fira de Santa Llúcia - 2024
Dear friends, welcome another year to the Fira de Santa Llúcia. After a whole year, it's great to meet again and enjoy the Christmas atmosphere with you.
This year the Fair starts on November 29th, almost a month before Christmas, so you will have time to choose and search among all the stands that you will find distributed in corridors that are wider than ever for your comfort.
As you all know is the oldest fair dedicated to Nativity scenes and Christmas traditions. This year we celebrate the 238th anniversary from the first confirmed date of the Fair of St.Llúcia, 1786.
All the artisans of the fair have been preparing a lot of new things to offer. Also, La Fira and his association have been working on activities for the children, which will be increased compared to last year both in terms of the quality of the acts and the days and schedule.
On Saturday, December 14, we celebrate the 31th Day of Christmas Traditions and Customs in Catalonia, with many activities and performances, including the awarding of this year's "Firaire d'Honor" certificate that will be given to l'Àliga de Barcelona, which is part of the city's "Bestiari Històric" and which this year celebrates its 650 years of history; the figure of l'Àliga dates back to the 14th century, where it is already documented.
You will find these activities in detail on this website, a place where you can find everything you need to make your visit easier and also a place where you can find more about the history of the fair, its artisans, activities, nativity scene exhibitions, photos and much more.
You Will find the Fair at Avinguda de la Catedral, Barcelona, as every year; with a total of 215 stands, it is the only fair in the world where you will find 180 stands for the sale of strictly Christmas products, such as nativity scenes and figures, moss, Christmas trees, accessories for your home and many others. You can also enjoy 35 stands dedicated to crafts and gift items, such as textile accessories, ceramics, jewelry, leather, etc.
And remember, December 25 is Christmas but if you want to start living the Christmas spirit with us, November 29 the fair of Santa Llúcia arrives and will remain open until December 23.

This year we celebrate the 238th anniversary of the Fair of Santa Llúcia, 1786-2024; we know it is much older, but the first appointments are documented in 1786. With the motivation to improve the fair year after year, both the Association of Saint Fair and the City Council have worked together to offer you the best of all christmas fairs. This year the fair will open its doors next 29th november until 23th december. We have increased the activities that we offer for you and your childrens. From 30th november to 15th december all activities are confirmed.
Note also that right next to the fair, in Plaça de Sant Jaume, on the ground floor of Barcelona City Hall, you can visit a nativity scene of more than 35 square meters, made by the Associació de Pessebristes de Barcelona, with figures of up to 40cm height. More information in the section of exhibitions of Nativity Scenes.

99th COMPETITION OF NATIVITY SCENES OF ASSOCIACIÓ DE PESSEBRISTES DE BARCELONA
Dear all.
The calendar does not stop and little by little we are approaching the celebration of Christmas, a time in which, among other events, we find the Nativity Contest that the Associació de Pessebristes de Barcelona organizes year after year.
This year is the 99th edition and taking advantage of the technological advances that telematics offers us, the presentation of the works will be done virtually.
Therefore, all those individual creators, schools, parishes or entities that are interested in participating in this new and special edition of the contest, please contact us through our email address: concurspessebresbarcelona@gmail.com
We will send you the bases and the format in which you will have to present your nativity scenes and dioramas so that the jury that is constituted can make a fair and equitable evaluation of your creations.
Greetings to all!
Associació de Pessebristes de Barcelona
