Fira de Santa Llúcia

Fira de Santa Llúcia - 2023

Dear friends, welcome another year to the Fira de Santa Llúcia. After a whole year, it's great to meet again and enjoy the Christmas atmosphere with you.

This year the Fair starts on November 24th, almost a month before Christmas, so you will have time to choose and search among all the stands that you will find distributed in corridors that are wider than ever for your comfort.
As you all know is the oldest fair dedicated to Nativity scenes and Christmas traditions. This year we celebrate the 237th anniversary from the first confirmed date of the Fair of St.Llúcia, 1786.
The Fair has been preparing different novelties for all of you. This year, the nativity world is celebrating, because it is 800 years since the first nativity scene, made by Saint Francis of Assisi in a cave in the town of Greccio, in Italy. We are also working on activities for the children, which will be increased compared to last year both in terms of the quality of the acts and the days and schedule.
On Saturday, December 16, we celebrate the 30th Day of Christmas Traditions and Customs in Catalonia, with many activities and performances, among which this year's "Firaire de Honor" will be announced.
You will find these activities in detail on this website, a place where you can find everything you need to make your visit easier and also a place where you can find more about the history of the fair, its artisans, activities, nativity scene exhibitions, photos and much more.
You Will find the Fair at Avinguda de la Catedral, Barcelona, as every year; with a total of 200 stands, it is the only fair in the world where you will find more than 160 stands for the sale of strictly Christmas products, such as nativity scenes and figures, moss, Christmas trees, accessories for your home and many others. You can also enjoy more than 30 stands dedicated to crafts and gift items, such as textile accessories, ceramics, jewelry, leather, etc.
And remember, December 25 is Christmas but if you want to start living the Christmas spirit with us, November 24 the fair of Santa Llúcia arrives and will remain open until December 23.

Celebration of the 800th anniversary of the first nativity scene

On Christmas Eve this year, we will celebrate the 800th anniversary of the first nativity scene, made by Saint Francis of Assisi, in a small cave in the town of Greccio in Italy, where the birth of Jesus was represented.
Stay tuned for the various events that you will find detailed in the section: Nativity exhibitions, in order to celebrate these 800 years of nativity scenes.

237th anniversary of the Fair of Santa Llúcia

This year we celebrate the 237th anniversary of the Fair of Santa Llúcia, 1786-2023; we know it is much older, but the first appointments are documented in 1786. With the motivation to improve the fair year after year, both the Association of Saint Fair and the City Council have worked together to offer you the best of all christmas fairs. This year the fair will open its doors next 24th november until 23th december. Again, this year we have increased the activities that we offer for you all. From 2th november to 17th december, all activities are confirmed.

It should also be noted that right next to the fair, less than 100 meters away, in the Frederic Marès Museum, in Plaza Sant Iu number 5 in Barcelona, we will have a nativity scene of more than 35 square meters, made by the Associació de Pessebristes de Barcelona, with figures of up to 40cm height. More information in the section of exhibitions of Nativity Scenes.
We hope you enjoy.

Increase of exhibitors at the fair

In the year 2022, a total of 189 stands or exhibitors took part in the fair. This year the fair has increased the number of exhibitors. We will go from 189 last year to 200; by sectors, you will find 90 stands within the sector of nativity scenes and figures, 90 in the area of trees, moss and herbs and 32 in the craft and gifts sector. The Fair of St. Llúcia, with the increment of stands in this year, will continue offering you another year the widest range of Christmas products that can be found, with a wide varietay of products.

"Diada" 2023 and awarding of this year's "Firaire d'Honor".
